How to download and install paid apps for free on Jailbroken Apple products using iFunbox?

For Apple Products which include iPhone, iPad and iPod, more and more cool apps are being released on App Store everyday. However,a lot of these amazing apps cost quite a bit.

There is a solution to this problem that can help you save money by getting these apps for free.

Be aware damage to your device will only occur due to carelessness and stupidity and I will not be responsible for any damages. If it is your first time I would strongly advise you to do a itunes backup of your iDevice before attempting for the first time.

Firstly you will require the following:

1) Jailbroken iDevice (iPhone, iPad, iPod) - if not jailbroken this will not work

2) Data/Charging cable

3) Computer or Laptop running Windows or Mac (sorry Linux)
These are all the thing you will need.

1) Download and install iFunbox

Click here to download iFunbox.exe file for Windows.

Click here to download iFunbox for Mac.

Once downloaded install the the software by clicking and running the file.

2) Download Appsync on your iDevice through cydia

If you do not already have the latest appsync on your iDevice you can download it by searching it on cydia. If you are not sure if you have it installed you can check on the installed page. Appsync allows you to download the apps on to your device without the app store detecting it.

3) Download the apps IPA file

To download your desired app you will need to find its ipa file. This is fairly easy.

The easiest method is to search for it in google.

For example if you want to download Angry Birds you will just need to search 

"Angry Birds vx.xx ipa" (latest version number can be found in appstore).

4) Connect iDevice with computer

Using the data cable connect the iDevice to the computer. I would advise you to turn the itunes sync option off to avoid any problems.  

5) Open iFunbox

Once you open iFunbox you should see it trying to connect to your device once it is connected click on the Managing App Data tab. 

You will then see a install button near the top. Clicking this will open up a window for you to locate the ipa file that you wish to download to your iDevice once you find it click ok.

This should take a couple of seconds to complete.

Once it is complete you should be able to see the app appear on your iDevice. If you see the app congratulation you have learnt how to install free paid apps. Now you can disconnect and enjoy using your new app. 

If you would like to update an app just follow step 3) onwards again.
